The Director of Public Relations will create and implement award-worthy multicultural and inclusive campaigns for a major financial institution. They will drive ROI through mass market and multicultural media outreach, social media/influencer engagement and events. This role will require the candidate to have “hands on” expertise in the Hispanic, AAPI and/or LGBTQ+ consumer markets as well as experience with other diverse segments (e.g., women, Native, military).

Duties/Responsibilities:
Public relations/Influencer engagement/Community outreach
Manage output of overall account and serve as the agency lead for senior clients
Create, lead, and oversee PR, influencer engagement and/or community outreach campaigns targeting multicultural and diverse audiences that result in top-tier media coverage
Position client executives as thought leaders through premier speaking opportunities, media interviews and/or industry recognition (e.g., awards)
Manage multi-disciplinary team of managers and subject matter experts
Review and/or draft press releases, media statements, speeches and other press materials
Finalize client presentations for quality and narrative cohesion
Maintain a high awareness of relevant industry trends and multicultural community happenings
Manage budgets, billings and staffing plans
Other Functions:
Participate in new business pitches and presentations
Educate staff on industry best practices
Participate in other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Setting clear objectives for team members
Overseeing workflow and monitoring productivity

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Social Media Management:
• Craft thoughtful content plans and calendars
• Develop original and exciting social media content for brand-owned social media accounts
• Plan and execute timely content calendars
• Manage production of original social content
• Coordinate with production partners, influencers, and vendors
• Attend/coordinate coverage of activations and events to capture real-time content
• Monitor and report content and account performance
Publicity/Influencer Relations/Activations:
• Help create and implement 360º campaign strategies
• Coordinate influencer partnerships (paid and in-kind)
• Invite influencers and press to brand activations
• Support press outreach and coordination
• Assist and support activations across the US
• Explore trends and technologies that better our knowledge of culture and industry
• Foster creative that engages diverse communities (Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Asian American, Pacific Islander, LGBTQIA+, and more)
OTHER FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
• Bachelor’s or vocational degree from a fully accredited college or university
Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years professional work experience
• Relevant experience in a public-facing capacity such as sales, marketing, social media, events, public relations, communications, community relations, corporate relations, advertising, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Possess excellent client relations skills, shows empathy, and values authentic relationships
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and editing)
• Must possess good organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, flexibility, sound judgment and a positive attitude

IW Group is seeking a PR Manager to join our entertainment team in the Los Angeles office.
This position is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to build award-winning total market and multicultural campaigns, maximizing reach through tradition and digital media press, influencers, events and activations that are conducive to demonstrable ROI.
This position is hybrid and will require employees to come into the LA office once a week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Publicity/Social Media/Influencer
- Design, implement and lead publicity strategies that align with client goals
- Lead planning and execution of publicity campaigns for multiple entertainment accounts
- Pitch traditional and online media outlets as well as influencers for earned coverage
- Maintain a high awareness of pop culture, industry trends and technologies
- Actively navigate the mass market and Asian American media landscape
- Research benchmark trends and audience preferences related to the entertainment industry and multicultural communities
- Participate in key account group brainstorms, strategy and creative sessions, contributing digital/ interactive/ media/influencer ideas
